Petra Kvitova has won the Wimbledon women's singles title for a second time by thrashing Eugenie Bouchard 6-3 6-0 in under an hour.
The Czech left-hander completely outplayed the 20-year-old Canadian with her big serve, aggressive returns and flat groundstrokes.
Kvitova, the sixth seed, also won in 2011 and today's victory is her second Grand Slam title.
It was a tough game for rising star and 13th seed Bouchard The 24-year-old was overwhelmed by emotions, fighting back tears during the trophy presentation.
"I just really wanted to be here again with the trophy," said Kvitova in her on-court interview with the BBC.
"I have to say thanks to everyone who supports me all the time, it is a special time for me."
The Czech champion hugs her father after taking her second Grand Slam She also made use of a new gate to celebrate with her loved ones without climbing onto the commentary box roof.
Bouchard, who won the junior Wimbledon title in 2012, made history by becoming the first Canadian to make a singles Grand Slam final.
Bouchard (left) made tennis history for Canada "It was really tough for me today but I'm proud of how I played this whole tournament," said the 13th seed.
"I feel it's a step in the right direction."
Kvitova's 55-minute win was the quickest women's Wimbledon final since 1983, when Martina Navratilova beat Andrea Jaeger 6-0, 6-3.
Kvitova's big serve and aggressive play were too much for her opponent Czech-born Navratilova was in the Royal Box for the final and the tennis legend was teary-eyed as Kvitova collected the famous Venus Rosewater Dish.
The 24-year-old champion walks away with prize money of £1.76m, while Bouchard collects £880,000.
Sunday's men's final sees Novak Djokovic take on seven-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer.
