Scotland's top prosecutor has reaffirmed Abdelbaset al Megrahi's guilt in the Lockerbie bombing following an appeal by victims' families to have the late Libyan's name cleared.
Lord Advocate Frank Mulholland said no Crown Office investigator or prosecutor has raised concerns about the evidence linking al Megrahi to the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103.
Al Megrahi, a Libyan intelligence agent who died in 2012, was convicted in 2001 of the murder of 270 people, including 11 people on the ground in the small Scottish town.
His role in the deadly attack has been called into question in a series of books, documentaries and testimony to Scottish Parliament.
In June, victims' relatives joined politicians and members of al Megrahi's family in launching an appeal against his conviction.

The victims of the Lockerbie bombing are being remembered on the 25th anniversary of the atrocity.
Pan Am flight 103 was on its way from London to New York when it exploded above Lockerbie, in southern Scotland, on the evening of December 21, 1988.
The mid-air blast killed all passengers and crew on board ...
... and 11 people on the ground.
Most of the 270 victims of the disaster were from the US, London and Lockerbie.
But Mr Mulholland said his investigation "remains on the evidence, and not on speculation and supposition".
"The current instability in Libya has meant that some investigative opportunities have required to be reassessed, which I know has been frustrating for family members," he said in an anniversary address to victims' relatives in Washington.
"However, our prosecutors and police officers working with the UK Government and US colleagues will continue to pursue this investigation with the sole aim of bringing those who acted along with al Megrahi to justice."
Supports of al Megrahi have called his conviction "the worst miscarriage of justice in British legal history".
Former Liberal Democrat leader Sir Menzies Campbell blasted what he called "unfounded criticism" of the judges who sat in the trial and subsequent appeal.
"The judges by convention are unable to respond publicly to these criticisms, which imply that they were somehow part of a conspiracy," Sir Campbell said.
"In truth, they were all experienced in criminal law and of unquestioned integrity.
"It is a curious feature of this case that those who argued most vehemently for a special court to be set up to deal with the case are now among the most vociferous critics of its verdict."
Al Megrahi was returned to Libya after being diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer in 2009. He died on 20 May 2012.
